If it's not fun, you're not going to stay with it.

I had a fabulous workout today. Felt so jazzed when I finished. Which brings me to my first piece of advice for those of you just starting out. If your exercise program isn't fun, you are most likely not going to stay with it.

Here ares some things that make exercise fun for me:

1. Listening to music (Lively stuff, not crying in your beer stuff)
2. Being around positive people
3. Using my arms to increase my heart rate while on the treadmill. It is kind of like dancing.

Here are some things that make exercise fun for others that I know:

1. Zumba-- Google it, if you don't know what it is. I will most likely do some of this in the near future, but my gym doesn't offer it at a time I want to go.
2. Watch TV while on the treadmill. Works for my son, Bill.
3. Have a partner to talk to.

In future posts, I will elaborate on each of these, especially the ones that work for me.

I hate that the snow has kept so many work outs at bay. what do you do when home is the only place to work out? WII fit? Kinnect? Just plane music?
